November has come and gone

It has been a while since my last post so I have some catching up to do. Colton is one month! It's hard to believe how fast time flies and how much he has changed since he was born. Some of the funny things he does is, he won't sleep anywhere but his swing unless it is in a dark room. It is great at night because I feed him, change him and then lay him down and he goes to sleep, but try that during the day, no way! He likes to stick his tongue out and when he gets excited he breathes really fast and throws his arms out. He is getting really good at holding his head up and he likes to watch people walk around if he is in his bouncer. We just love watching him grow!

He Loves to sleep in his swing wrapped up super tight!

Today was his baby blessing. He was blessed by his dad at our ward house surrounded by lots of family. His grandmas and great grandmas sure love him!

We have had some exciting things happen around the house too! We are almost done with the kitchen face lift. It looks 100 times better than it did before. Unfortunately I don't think I have any before pictures but here is an after pictures. You can see we still have a little work to do but it is coming along!

On Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, our main water line broke! It is really hard to be in a house that has no water!! Luckily we have an awesome ward and a neighbor who has a backhoe that came and dug up the front yard for us and helped us replace the line. We had water back on the same day! We couldn't have done it within his help!! He are some of the pictures of the massive hole in the front yard.

Halloween pics

Here are some super cute pictures my sister-in-law Jenny, Susie Q Portraits, took of our little Tiger! We decided to stay in on Halloween since it started to rain and he is still so little so we don't have any other photos.

One Week

I can't believe that my baby boy is already a week old. He has been a joy to bring home. The two dogs, Mya and Sobe, seem to be slowly adjusting to the fact that they are no longer on the top of our priority list. Colton sleeps well and seems to have his days and nights right. He does wake up about 2 or 3 times at night depending on when we actually go to bed. Of course the last wake up is around 5:30 AM so I usually don't go back to sleep after that and some times neither does he. Bath time is a little hard but I think he will adjust to them quickly. I love being a mom and we are enjoying our experience at parenthood!

Induced!

Well, I had my last NST test today and my fluids are still low so they are going to go ahead and induce me tomorrow. That is, unless something happens tonight. My doctor is out of town just for tonight so if I have the same luck as my mom I will go into labor at 6:15 PM, but oh well at least it will be over! Wish me luck!

Still Pregnant...(sigh)

Well, I'm still pregnant and here is the proof!
Man do I look tired or what??
I would really like to get this over with and to finally meet my baby boy! My NST test today showed that my fluids are still low but my blood pressure is good and so is the baby so they sent me home. On our way out we saw 2 couples carrying their hospital bags in and I have to say I was very jealous!! Tomorrow I will have another doctors appointment and then another NST test on friday.

Found the snake owner....

Well, Will was concerned about letting the snake go in the hills above our house and called one of our neighbors who knows a lot about snakes. It just so happens that it was a snake he caught while he was working and his kids left the lid off the cage he had it in, so it ended up in my yard, which after all the fuss I guess was a good thing. It is not a native snake to our area and would not survive our winters. Our neighbor is planning a trip to somewhere warmer (California, I think( and will take him there. So goodbye snake, it was fun..... The NST test I had on Thursday went well. The baby had no trouble passing but my amniotic fluid was low so I really have to decrease my activity. So I am really BORED!!!!! I did try some crocheting today but got a little frustated and gave up, for today at least. Maybe tomorrow I will do more.
