Walking....

Colton took his first steps on Sunday February 21st at 7:30 PM. YEAH! Although he still prefers crawling he will now stand up and take a few steps before deciding the crawl! Horray for my big boy!

Where we have been....Where we are now.

Yes, it has been a LONG time since I have posted last. I have not been motivated with so many things going on. Once Christmas hit we just got very busy. So this is going to be a very long post! Colton had a great Christmas. He slept in which was great! Then we spent the afternoon and evening with my family. We had good food, the little ones played dressed up in The Nativity Scene outfits while Grandpa read the scriptures of Christ's birth. They were all so cute! After we played some songs on the chime set my parents have. I think we should become a traveling family band, just kidding. Later we set up the bounce house for the kids while the adults got to play volleyball. It was so nice to spend Christmas together as a family. New Year's Eve was a big party at our house. We played games, watched movies, ate pizza and junk food and of course went outside and lit fireworks and made lots of noise at midnight. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

December Pictures

-I don't know what happened to a lot of my december photos, I hoped they got saved on Will's computer so these are what you get for Christmas and New Years.

January flew by faster than I can remember. Not much happened in January other than it is still winter and cold. Colton did get rather sick in January.... That was not fun. For over a week we kept him home because of diarrhea and the worst diaper rash I had ever seen!! The doctor's checked him out to make sure he wasn't getting dehydrated and the poor kid was getting awfully tired of bananas, rice, apple sauce, and toast! I let him run around the house naked to help out his skin after his baths. He loves looking out the front room window and I couldn't help not taking such a cute picture. He has also figured out that doorknobs open doors and he tries so hard to reach them..... and gets mad when he can't. He is getting closer and I know when that happens I will be in big trouble. Back in November both of my sisters had babies, one girl and one boy. I decided to be ambitious and make them both blankets, I acutally started these in October but in January I finally finished them. The picture is the one for Ashley and the one for Oliver looks just like it only blue of course. These were done by knitting and they turned out really cute. I am so proud of myself that I actually finished them!!! One day James and Tara came over to visit. Colton has started to become very expressive with his face. This was the face he was making at Aunt Tara. It was so funny!!

Now it is February. This has been a busy month. Will's brother Brian was blessing his baby so most of the family made a trip out to California to attend. While there will and I made several stops to see some of my family too that lives out there. We left on thursday night and carpooled with James and Tara. We drove all night..... When we hit Donner Pass in the Sierra Nevada's there was a massive blizzard!!!! It was not the funnest thing to drive in and it slowed us way down but we made it safely to Marysville at about 5:00 AM. We got a little sleep before heading to go meet up with Will's family for breakfast. After breakfast James and Tara announced that they were expecting! Horray! Congrats to them! We left shortly after to go to Sacramento wbout 40 minutes away to go see my Grandma and Grandpa Shular. We stayed and visited and has lunch while Colton put on a show for them. Grandpa gave him Oreos and spoon to play with after lunch. He couldn't have been happier! After or visit there we headed 2 and a half hours south the visit Jeremy and Amy who just welcomed little Ashley in November. Shelby loves her little sister very much! Saturday was Will's birthday. Amy helped me make frach toast and sausage for breakfast while he and Shelby played Mario Kart. Colton wanted in on that action too. It was great to see Amy's family and to meet little Ashley! After breakfast we headed to San Fransisco to meet up with Will's family again at Fishermen's Wharf. We went on an old battle ship from World War II and got to go exploring. There were some great views of the city, the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz from the deck of the ship. The kids had a blast going around and exploring. Colton was a little trooper. He stayed in the back pack all day and never once creid or complained. He is such a good kid. Will's mom bought him his birthday dinner from some of the street vendors... Really good clam chowder and crab legs on the side. Before leaving we went to Ghiradeli square and got some hot chocolate. It was the perfect day to go to San Fransisco, the sun shined all day but the breeze kept is nice. We returned to Beale for Will's party. We decorated the condo and blew up balloons while James and Will played ping pong of the kitchen table. Had cake and icecream and then called it a night! It was a great day! Sunday was the baby blessing. Brian did a wonderful job. We took pictures after church and then packed up the cars and made the trek home.
