Christmas 2010

Christmas 2010 was spent celebrating with the Cotners. We of course visited Temple square to see the lights. We went with the Benson's and Will's Parents. It was cold but beautiful.

Colton and Masha

Will's parents were here and were able to spend Christmas morning with us. We read the story of Christ's birth from the Bible before opening presents to help us remember what Christmas is all about. After, we opened presents. Christmas becomes a lot more fun when you have a kid. They get so excited about things. I got a surprise gift after all the presents were open. A Kindle. It's great and I love it! We all had a good time opening presents with Colton's help on just about all of them and then just enjoyed watching Colton play with his. We got him a dump truck and a set of megablocks, some books and he got some hot wheels. He thought it was great to dump his megablocks out of his truck then build towers and knock them over.

Trying to open the magablocks. Holding it upside down didn't work so well!

Thanksgiving at Disneyland

Thanksgiving was great this year! We were able to spend it with my whole family, all 28 of us, at the happiest place on earth... DISNEYLAND! The trip down there was an adventure but what's a vacation with out some of that. My mom and dad drove down with us in our car. We were going to spend in the night in Mesquite and then drive the rest of the way on Monday. In Beaver Canyon it began to snow and then... two semi's were in an accident. 4 HOURS later we were finally moving again, so a trip that should have taken 5 hours took about 10. At least we had plenty of gas so the cars could stay warm and then of course we had movies and food to eat. We arrived safely to Disneyland on Monday afternoon. Our tickets weren't good until Tuesday so we rested and got ready for the next day. The weather was nice, a little chilly the first two days but not bad. The park was crazy busy so the lines were long but we had good company. We road the Jungle Cruise, which Colton was not sure of, then Small World which was done up for the Holidays, so cute! We wondered the park and got fast passes to different things at different times so we could trade off kids. I think Colton was is shock most of the first two days just because there was so much going on! It was funny to watch! Thanksgiving Day thankfully was not as busy and it was warmer than the previous days. I think I road California Screamin 4 times that day. What a fun roller coaster. P.S. it works great when you work the fast passes and parent passes together for anyone going with kids... We had dinner at the Hotel catered by Albertsons. It was really a good meal followed with some more playing at Disneyland. We were able to get a full family photo, which I don't have a copy of yet but if you want to see it visit my mom and dad's blog. We are a good looking family. This is one of the best vacations I have had and I was so grateful to be able to spend it with all of my family! I love them all so very much! Here are a few pictures to enjoy. There are a lot of them so keep scrolling :)

A great picture of my mom and dad on Small World

Colton was not so sure about this Bug' Life ride!

Colton loved the Pixar parade especially the Toy Story Part
