Colton's 3rd Birthday!

Colton Leon Cotner

I can't believe that our little boy is 3!!! This year I decided to make him a dinosaur cake. I think it turned out pretty good and he loved it! We invited some cousins and friends over for cake and ice cream and I think Colton had them all well entertained. He is such a happy little guy and I love that about him! When you are around him you can't help but smile from what he does or says that just makes you laugh! I also think he has enough energy to power a small city and it can be exhausting but I really wouldn't like him any other way! We are so proud of him and he is very proud of himself for his accomplishments too no matter how small he'll say very excitedly "I did it!"

The cake!

We had to light the candles twice because he blew them out before we could even sing Happy Birthday! He was just so excited!

"I did it!"

Clothes!

Colton is so funny with wrapping paper, you would think he would just rip into it but he doesn't so I was helping him with it.

Buzz Lightyear!

Mickey Mouse coloring book!

Opening his golf set from Mark and Kim.

Thanks Mark and Kim!

And a set of practice golf balls! Very exciting!

Opening his dinosaur toy.

Cool! To bad he was a fraid of it once we showed him that it Roars and moves!

What's in this box?

A basketball! And what goes with a basketball?

A basketball hoop! He was so excited!
I'm ohhhing in the background because the last shot he just missed hit Evan right on the head! Poor baby but I'm sure it won't be the last time!

Golf clubs and a basketball what more could a little boy ask for?

Once he discovered the dinosaur had guns he could shoot it wasn't so scary!

Happy Birthday little man! We love you!

Evan's 8 week check up

Time is flying and I go back to work next week but I can say that I have loved being able to stay home with these two wonderful boys of mine! Evan had his check up on Monday the 17th. He sure is a big boy! He weighed in at 15 lbs 3 oz and that put him in the 99 percentile for weight. He is tall too luckily at 24.5 in and the 93 percentile. His head is 15.7 in and only the 48 percentile but it does not look that small compared to the rest of him.

Evan's Baby Blessing

We blessed Evan on Sunday October 9th in our new ward the Bennion 6th Ward. We were so grateful for the family that could make it and missed those that couldn't. We were especially happy to see my Grandma and Grandpa make the trip from California to be with us! We had lunch after the blessing at our house and were able to enjoy this new member of our family and each other. Thanks to everyone for your help with the lunch!

Catching Evan's First Smile

Evan loves this bouncer and he loves the Lion and Zebra. He talks to them and laughs at them and then he smiled at them, before he smiled at mom but that's ok at least I got to see the smiles!

So Cute!

Putting up Tigger

Every Halloween the decorating begins with putting up Tigger (or Tiger as Colton calls him). Colton is very helpful! He helped daddy with the extension cord then he used the hammer to drive in the stakes to hold Tigger up and then ran around like the crazy kid he is.

Let the Halloween decorating begin!

Fishing trip to Trial Lake

Will's parents were in town moving some of there things down so we decided to take a fishing trip up to Trial lake one morning. It was a beautiful morning and we were having tons of success! Will fished the whole morning using Colton's little Toy Story rod and a dry fly. He caught more that a dozen fish and Colton even caught one all by himself after Will cast the fishing pole! The rest of us used power bate and the magical color for the day was green and orange sparkle. Sometimes your bate wouldn't even hit bottom before you got a bite! After catching a few I was done and Evan and I hung out in the shade and enjoyed watching the others fish.

Evan William Cotner

We arrived at LDS hospital at 7:30 PM. The Dr. came in and broke my water at 8:00 PM and our new little one was born at 10:49 PM. A short labor was so nice! I was able to get an epidural but probably could have done it without it since it was so short but they were contemplating putting me on pitocin since the contracts weren't coming along as quickly as they would like and I hate pitocin! So I got the epidural first but then didn't end up needing the pitocin. Oh Well! My mom and Will were there to support me and help keep me entertained which was great!

Evan William Cotner weighted 8 lbs. 7 oz. and was 20 inches long. Sweet innocence and perfection straight from our Heavenly Father!

Evan's first bath at the hospital! He hated it but loves his baths now.

Colton's visit to the hospital. He spent the first night at Mark and Kim's house where he had a blast! They love that kid!

Getting ready to go home!

Brotherly love!

Caught him with his eyes open.

Relaxing in the shade while Colton played in his pool.
Pretty flowers sent by Will's work.
