Will's parents were in town moving some of there things down so we decided to take a fishing trip up to Trial lake one morning. It was a beautiful morning and we were having tons of success! Will fished the whole morning using Colton's little Toy Story rod and a dry fly. He caught more that a dozen fish and Colton even caught one all by himself after Will cast the fishing pole! The rest of us used power bate and the magical color for the day was green and orange sparkle. Sometimes your bate wouldn't even hit bottom before you got a bite! After catching a few I was done and Evan and I hung out in the shade and enjoyed watching the others fish.

Evan William Cotner
We arrived at LDS hospital at 7:30 PM. The Dr. came in and broke my water at 8:00 PM and our new little one was born at 10:49 PM. A short labor was so nice! I was able to get an epidural but probably could have done it without it since it was so short but they were contemplating putting me on pitocin since the contracts weren't coming along as quickly as they would like and I hate pitocin! So I got the epidural first but then didn't end up needing the pitocin. Oh Well! My mom and Will were there to support me and help keep me entertained which was great!
Evan William Cotner weighted 8 lbs. 7 oz. and was 20 inches long. Sweet innocence and perfection straight from our Heavenly Father!
Evan's first bath at the hospital! He hated it but loves his baths now.

Waiting for Evan!!
I had started on my weekly Dr.'s appointments and was already dilated to a 4 and 70% effaced 4 weeks before he was due. Official due date was August 24th. We thought he was coming a lot sooner than he was. By August 13th I was dilated to a 5 and still not in labor. We thought for sure this was the weekend I was going to have him. Well, we woke up Saturday morning and I was still not in labor so we decided to go for a drive. We ended up at Silver Lake up at Brighton. We walked around the Lake. It was a beautiful morning.

We then drove over Guardsmans Pass and into Park City. Was I having any contractions? No!! So we stopped in at REI's garage sale to just walk around some more. By this time I gave up with walking and elevation wasn't going to put me in Labor nothing was.
Monday morning rolled around and our little one still had not arrived so I called my Dr.'s office and asked to be seen later that day, just to be checked again. I was his last patient of the day and a good thing I was too. I was dilated to a 6, but still not in labor. He called the hospital, they were slow, so we decided to meet there at 7:30 and just have him break my water. His concern now was if I went into labor on my own I might not make it to the hospital. I really didn't want to have a freeway baby so it was a date!

Happenings in July 2011
Well Summer had decided to arrive! To keep Colton cool and entertained we got a kiddie pool for him to play in. It's hard to catch a good picture because he never holds still!

We spent this years Fourth of July with the Bensons and Cotners. We had a BBQ at Jen and Drew's then let the kids play. We went in together for fireworks and got two of the new aerial fireworks. The kids had fun with the snaps and the parachutes before it got dark. Then the show began.
July 9th was my birthday and we spent the weekend in Park City. Last year at the Fair we bought a $40 two night package for going and listening to the time share sh-peel. James and Tara were kind enough to watch Colton so we could have a quiet relaxing weekend. It was the first time we had left Colton overnight. The place we stayed had a pool so on Saturday we had them bring Colton and Gibson up to go swimming. They had fun in the water! Then Will and I went to dinner and had the yummiest cheesie bread! We came home Sunday afternoon to find a BIG surpise. Over the weekend Jen, James and Tara painted the babies room that had been pink and yellow! It looks great and I am so thankful to them for doing it! I didn't know how I was going to do it with being so pregnant. They also made a quilt that matches the paint color.

Colton found some stickers one day and decided to decorate himself!
We spent the 24th of July with my family at my Mom's. We had a BBQ then let the kids play their water games (balloons included) and play in the bounce house. Then the fireworks began! A fun night for all!
Since Rylee was finally here and we new she was a girl Tara and I threw Jen a baby shower. After having 3 boys she had no little girl things. She got plenty of cute girlie things at the shower including this cute BYU sippie.

Tara is a great decorator. My house looked so cute!Friday, July 15, 2011
Happenings in June 2011
Our Ward Camp out got cancelled since Summer had not yet decided to arrive and there was still snow up at the Spruces in Big Cottonwood Canyon so instead we had a dutch oven dinner at Labrum Park. They have swings! Colton spent a good chunk of time on them. Looks like he was having fun!
Then he decided to go play ball with Daddy.
On the 15th we welcomed new cousin Rylee to the Benson family! It was nice to introduce Colton to a baby before his little brother came. He wanted to hold her the whole time we were at the hospital visiting. She sure is a cutie!
Since I was going to be very pregnant later in the Summer we decided to go camping up at Jordanelle Resevior with my parents in June. Colton loved having Papa there to help him go fishing in the weeds and then later throw rocks in the water when he got tired of real fishing! We got skunked and didn't catch anything but it was still have to be outdoors. The camp ground was nice, it was one we had never stayed at before and we had one of the only shaded spots in the afternoon. I guess I can pick them well from off the internet reservation website!
At the end of the month we decided to go to the Zoo with my mom. Of course I had to pick the first day it reached into the 90s but oh well. Will had the day off and we got there early and were able to see everything we wanted before it got too hot. This years special attraction was dinosaurs. They were neat to see. Most of them moved and made noise. Colton thought they were pretty cool until we got to the dialophasaurus. We didn't know it but those dinosaurs sprayed water and they got Colton! He was done with the dinosaurs and any animal that looked like a dinosaur (rhino) after that. We rode the carousel went through the reptile house (I think Colton's favorite part) and then rode train, he liked that part too and then headed home for the day.
