It's a boy! We found out on April 1st that we would be having a second boy. I was a little surprised because the pregnancy up to that point had been very different from Colton so I thought that this one might be a girl. They ask during the ultrasound if you want to know the gender of your baby. I of course could not wait several more months to find out so I said yes. And that when the tech showed us we would be having another boy! I think Colton will love having a little brother, once he's old enough to play with. We couldn't be happier either as he was growing strong and healthy! Such a relief when you find that out!
Conference Weekend was the first weekend in April. Alisha and the kids came out to visit while Will's parents were in town. James, Tara and Alisha went on a hike with the two little boys while I stayed back with Ada and Colton because of being prego and tired! Looks like they had fun! There was still some snow on the ground but it had been a very cold winter so that was to be expected.
We had been enjoying a nice Spring until Saturday blew in a huge snow storm and we woke up to this!
We dressed the kids in warm clothes, Ada hadn't prepared for snow when packing for her visit so we tried to make her as warm as possible but it looks like she had lots of fun anyways.

On one particular day (April 7th) I was upstairs laying down not feeling well and just tired as being pregnant goes when I heard Colton thump bumping around downstairs. I had put a movie on for him so I could rest. Feeling I should investigate what he was doing went downstairs. Hmmm... The TV looks funny. He had been watching Toy Story and this wasn't the part with fireworks... That's when I realized he was holding one of Will's golf clubs and that wasn't fireworks on the TV those were shatter marks of where he had hit the TV with the golf club! Wow, Colton had just busted our $2500 TV that we had only had for about 3 months! No, I didn't kill him but I was pretty upset! What can you do when you weren't in the room when it happened though right? I had to call Will and tell him that I was so sorry for not watching Colton more closely and that our TV was toast. Later in the day he was whining because he wanted to watch TV and that was when I had to call my mom to come help me with him because I just couldn't take it anymore! Thank heaven for moms! We thought our insurance would cover the TV but it didn't so we resurrected the old yellowing TV so he could watch TV. We are still using it and some shows look worse that others as far as the yellowing goes but at least it is a TV for Colton to watch his movies on.
You couldn't see the chatter marks once the TV was turned off and once I turned it off it wouldn't turn back on so one day Will and I decided to take the TV apart and see the shatter marks and also see what it would cost to fix it. ($3000 for a new LCD screen was a bit much considering a brand new TV is only $2500).
Thankfully the snow didn't stick around too long and we were able to take Colton to the park and let him play in the back yard to get out some of his (destructive) energy!
